Privacy Policy

Flowthread stores what you give it, on your device only: voice recordings and their transcripts, notes, threads, your profile and personality quiz answers, goals and progress, and your settings. None of this is sent to Kodavena or any third party, except the optional cloud shaping described below.

Flowthread records a voice note only when you tap Record. It does not record in the background. Audio is turned into text on your device and is never uploaded.

If you choose to save an action to Calendar, Flowthread asks for Calendar access. It adds the event you chose and reads back events it created to avoid duplicates. It does not read your other events for any other purpose.

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved. You can turn them off in Settings or in iOS Settings.

Data is kept in Flowthread's private storage on your device. It is removed when you delete Flowthread or use “Delete all my data”.

On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, notes are shaped on your device and nothing is sent. On older iPhones Flowthread can shape a note using a server instead. This happens only after you allow it (the first time you record, and any time in Settings) and you can turn it off in Settings at any time; the app then uses a simple built-in draft.

When it is on, only the text of the note (never audio) and a short summary of your profile (working type, focus, people and areas you listed) are sent, together with a random anonymous install ID that lets us count your free monthly uses. The request goes to a Kodavena server on Cloudflare, which forwards the text to our AI processor, Anthropic (Claude), to produce the shaped draft. Kodavena does not store or log the text or the result; it keeps only usage counters. Anthropic processes the text to answer the request and, under its own terms, may keep it for a limited period for safety and abuse prevention. Your IP address is visible to the server only to limit abuse and is not stored with your notes. The text is not used to track you or for advertising.

Cloudflare (hosts the shaping server) and Anthropic (AI processor) are involved only in optional cloud shaping, as described above. Flowthread contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

In Settings you can choose “Export my data” to get a copy, and “Delete all my data” to erase everything Flowthread has stored.

Flowthread does not ask for names, email addresses or other personal details from anyone, including children, and has no account system.

If Flowthread adds features that change how data is handled, this page will be updated first.
