Publisher: Kodavena · Contact: support@kodavena.com

App: WordBlast: Shoot & Learn (iOS) · Ages 13+

This policy explains what information WordBlast: Shoot & Learn stores on your device, what it sends to its online services, and what Google AdMob may process when you choose to watch a rewarded advertisement.

1. About this policy

WordBlast: Shoot & Learn (“WordBlast”, “the game”) is an English-learning target-range game for iOS published by Kodavena. This policy covers the game itself and the WordBlast pages on this website.

  • Publisher: Kodavena
  • App: WordBlast: Shoot & Learn (iOS)
  • Audience: Ages 13 and over
  • Contact: support@kodavena.com

WordBlast uses online services, anonymous gameplay analytics and Google AdMob, so this policy does not claim that the game collects no data. It describes what is actually processed and why.

2. Information stored on your device

WordBlast saves your game state locally in the app's own storage on your device, including:

  • Player name or callsign
  • Interface language and game settings
  • Scores, XP and credits
  • Weapon unlocks and current weapon selection
  • Vocabulary mastery and learning progress
  • Session state and reward state

This local data generally stays on your device and may be removed when you delete the app, subject to any device backups you have enabled through Apple.

3. Online leaderboard and backend

WordBlast uses Supabase for anonymous authentication, leaderboard services and product analytics. When online features are used, the app may process:

  • An automatically generated anonymous account identifier
  • An automatically generated Player ID
  • The display name or callsign you choose
  • Game mode and completed challenges
  • Correct, incorrect and timed-out answers
  • Best combo, score, XP and credits earned
  • Unit or progression index
  • Leaderboard ranking information
  • Anonymous gameplay events
  • The in-app interface language you selected
  • Event timestamps

No email address or telephone number is required to create the anonymous game identity used for these features.

Your chosen callsign and your leaderboard statistics may be publicly visible to other WordBlast players, so please avoid using your real full name or other personal details as a callsign.

4. Product analytics

WordBlast records anonymous gameplay events — for example when a challenge starts, ends or is answered — to understand how the game is used and to improve difficulty, usability and learning content.

WordBlast's own analytics implementation does not intentionally send:

  • Your player name or callsign in analytics events
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Contacts
  • Photos
  • Camera or microphone content
  • Precise location
  • Advertising identifier
  • Device identifier

The anonymous backend account identifier may be associated with gameplay events on the server, so those events are not fully unlinkable on our side.

5. Advertising and consent

WordBlast uses Google AdMob to offer optional rewarded advertisements. Watching one is always your choice, and you can keep playing without them. Rewards are in-game benefits only — you never receive money or any other real-world compensation for watching an advertisement.

When an advertisement is requested, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

  • Advertising or device identifiers, where permitted
  • IP address and the approximate location derived from it
  • Ad impressions, interactions and diagnostics
  • Device and app information
  • Consent and privacy choices

Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform is used to request and manage advertising consent. Advertisements may be personalized, non-personalized, limited or technically delivered depending on your location, your consent choices and applicable law. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily disable every advertisement.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, WordBlast asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency system prompt before any tracking takes place.

If you allow it, Google may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show you more relevant, personalised advertisements. This involves linking data from this app with third-party data for advertising purposes, which Apple defines as tracking.

If you decline, no advertising identifier is used and you are shown non-personalised advertisements instead.

The app works identically either way. No content, reward or feature depends on your answer, and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

6. Purposes of processing

Information is used to:

  • Operate the game
  • Save your progress
  • Provide leaderboard functionality
  • Deliver optional rewarded advertisements
  • Prevent duplicate rewards or leaderboard submissions
  • Diagnose errors
  • Measure anonymous gameplay usage
  • Improve balancing, usability and learning content
  • Meet legal and platform obligations

7. Data sharing

Information may be shared with the service providers required to operate the app, including Google AdMob for advertising and Supabase for authentication, leaderboard and analytics infrastructure, and where disclosure is legally required.

Kodavena does not sell personal information directly.

The advertising identifier is shared with Google and its advertising partners only when the user has granted App Tracking Transparency permission.

8. Data retention

  • Local game data remains on your device until you remove it, the operating system removes it, or the app is deleted.
  • Backend data is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, together with security, legal obligations and legitimate operational needs.
  • You may request deletion of associated online data through the support process described below.

9. Your rights and data deletion

To request access, correction or deletion of online data associated with your game identity, email support@kodavena.com and include the Player ID shown inside the game's profile or settings area. The Player ID is what allows us to locate the right records.

Depending on where you live, your rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and withdrawal of consent. Legal rights vary by region and applicable law.

Advertising and privacy controls are described on the Privacy Choices page: https://kodavena.com/wordblast/privacy-choices

10. Children

WordBlast is positioned for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Kodavena does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact support@kodavena.com so the information can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

11. International data processing

Our service providers operate global infrastructure, so information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Türkiye. Where such transfers happen, they rely on the transfer mechanisms and safeguards used by those providers.

12. Security safeguards

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — such as encrypted connections to our backend and access-restricted database rules — to protect the information we process. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the game, its service providers or applicable requirements change. The effective and last-updated dates at the top of this page show the current version, and material changes will be reflected here.

14. Contact

For any privacy question about WordBlast, email support@kodavena.com. Including your Player ID helps us answer requests about online data faster.
